A Bit of Background

I grew up in Rural South Australia as a country and farm girl; I was raised at a Commercial Piggery Farm, and understand the reality of farming. Chickens have fascinated me for as long as I can remember - all birds, for that matter.

I got my first chicken when I was seven years old, she was an Old English Game Bantam. Ever since then, I knew I needed to have these wonderful animals in my life. I have over 20 years experience now with owning chickens, and 9 years experience with breeding chickens. I am only just getting into other species of birds now and hope to share accurate and reliable information as I go.
